Join us for surf, yoga, adventure, and meaningful time in one of Nicaragua’s most authentic surf towns. CONNECT WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY
We believe one of the best ways to connect with a community is by being part of it — lending a hand, learning from locals, and giving back in a meaningful way. That’s why we partner with our local NGO, NICA Fund, to offer volunteer opportunities that support sustainable, year-round programs in the El Tránsito community. These opportunities are flexible, allowing guests to choose how often and how long they’d like to volunteer during their stay in Nicaragua.
*Volunteering opportunities are available to paying guests. We do not offer accommodations in exchange for volunteer work, with the exception of yoga instructors.
EXPLORE A COLONIAL CITY & SANDBOARD DOWN A VOLCANO
Take a break from the beach and explore Nicaragua beyond the coast. Spend a day wandering a nearby colonial city or head inland to one of the country’s many volcanoes. Options include visiting León, Masaya, or Granada, as well as adventures like sandboarding down Cerro Negro, touring a local rum factory, zip-lining at the base of Mombacho Volcano, or visiting Masaya Volcano to see glowing lava at night.

"Went on a solo trip and had an amazing time at Solid Surf. Stayed for a week and met some amazing people from all over the world (france, germany, canada, etc.) Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Best waves I've ever surfed with offshore winds and consistent with any tide throughout the day. El Transito is definitely a gem. Will be back soon!"

Make your stay easy by adding a SOLID package to trips of five or more nights in Nicaragua. We also offer pre-bookable transportation to and from the airport (about 90 minutes away), so your arrival is simple and stress-free.
